Obligatory "ignore this space" : https://sacoronavirus.co.za

Ignoring appearances is one thing, but fingernails are either tools or in the way. Getting them the right length, then, is something we'd expect any responsible parent to mentor their progeny about.

I'm just not in the mood. I gave up on nail-clippers after a pair that was only good for trimming leg hair. The design fault was easy to spot: that was because the previous pair was still fresh in the memory. I don't recall if I gave them away or they broke: the new pair had a 'bare metal' design which suited my taste.

I do not, believe it or not, remember all the reasons for my actions.

Side-cutters are 'just the thing,' but I don't feel I've earned the right to use them. That's something like buying a guitar that's two or three levels above your grade. So what are the options, then?

I recall a pair of nail scissors, but they may have been on loan. I have earned the right to use a 'craft knife' (which we avoid using the brand name for because we're on 'this' side of the Atlantic), but is my future to be the reaching to what's a tool for any job, thereby sparing me the necessity of having drawers?

I might have to make an exception, just this once, to go on as per habit.

But I'm going to make you feel this, boy.

Those who don't listen to my mother are all bitches. In part, that has to do with the fact that she doesn't call herself something that others may not call her.

As to my not chewing my fingernails: that's a matter of a 'tool for any job,' isn't it?

Illogical? I doubt it!
